چکیده

In this paper, a recommender system based on rough mereology was presented for predicting best cultivation dates for wheat in Egyptian Sinai Peninsula according to the required mean temperature for germination stage during October to December. The weather data was hourly collected from El-Arish weather station in north Sinai government from 1985 to 2013. As far as we know, this was the rst study in Egypt regarding a wheat recommender expert system for predicting temperature and sowing dates in North Sinai. In current study, accurate weather forecasting information and suitable cultivation dates of wheat were obtained from the proposed recommender system. The results show that the proposed system can forecast di erent temperatures with minimum Mean Absolute Error (MAE). These ndings may allow decision makers to take their proper decisions on managing agricultural development in new reclaimed areas like the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula.

First report of Leishmania tropica from a classical focus of L. major in North-Sinai, Egypt.

Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is prevalent in the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula and previous research has consistently documented the etiologic agent to be Leishmania major. We report the first isolation of Leishmania tropica from human cases of CL in a Northern Sinai community bordering Palestine. Parasite culturing, real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), gene sequencing, and restriction fragmen...

Rainfed winter wheat cultivation in the North German Plain will be water limited under climate change until 2070

BACKGROUND We analysed regionalised ECHAM6 climate data for the North German Plains (NGP) in two time slots from 1981 to 2010 and 2041 to 2070. RESULTS The annual mean temperature will increase significantly (by about 2 °C) that will result in shorter growing periods since the sum of degree days until harvest will be reached earlier. Even if the amount of total precipitation does not change t...

The Neolithic Revolution and Subsequent Emergence of the Celiac Affection

Evidence suggests that celiac disease initially emerged as a distinct intestinal disorder sometime after organization of hunter-gatherers into human workforces capable of agriculture, especially wheat cultivation. This Neolithic revolution possibly developed to permit competitive survival over other hunter-gatherer groups. Recent archeological data suggests that wheat cultivation may have occur...

Five habitat types were selected for the study: sand dunes (North Sinai and in Wady El-Natrun), gravel desert, coastal plain, and water runnels of a wadi bed (South Sinai and Eastern Desert). About 47.4% of the studied sites were subjected to high grazing pressure, 26.3% to moderate grazing pressure; the remain...

Monitoring the impact of global warming on wheat cultivation in the Mughan Plain (Germi) Using the atmospheric circulation model

Global warming and temperature rise will have many effects on different sectors, including agriculture, the warming of the earth will increase the rate of evaporation, and consequently the increase in the demand for agricultural products will increase. In this study, in order to monitor the effect of global warming on Mughan Plain wheat, using the LARS-WG model as a relatively inexpensive and a...
